President's Report

I started writing the President's Report so all employees could share the same vision of Sun Frontier. The most effective way of achieving this goal to date has been through the messages in the Report, which I have delivered at Monday morning meetings.

I have prepared my Report every Sunday since September 1997-no matter where I have been at the time-on the issues that have arisen in the previous week. I have constantly reflected as a top manager on the definition of value and the goals we should pursue. I think I have been able to enlighten everyone from senior executives to new employees on these considerations. They understand what I think and where the company should head.

Spending roughly six hours writing every Sunday evening has enabled me to refine my thoughts into concepts that resonate with employees so they can achieve results. I am cultivating a unique corporate culture and solid management vision for Sun Frontier Fudousan. I cannot convey in this Report everything our employees need to know, as much of what they learn comes from on-the-job experience. The Report is thus more of a snapshot of what I want employees to know about the company, and I hope it deepens their understanding.
