Our management philosophy is to safeguard all employees, ensure discretion, and contribute to mankind and society. For me, safeguarding employees means making them happy. That is because I think that employee happiness comes from being of service to customers, even if that means that employees find themselves exceedingly busy in the process. I think that is the purpose of work. Sales and profits are outcomes from serving customers. I believe that it is impossible for people working for themselves to find fulfillment and happiness. If you cannot sense that you have been of service to someone, you will feel that something is missing no matter how much you increase your capabilities or generate sales. All our employees understand that their joy derives from the happiness of customers, compensating for daily hardships. That is because they know that our customers depend on them.
Our corporate philosophy is to improve the knowledge, skills, and character of our people by cultivating their zeal for work that focuses on optimizing the use of real estate, suppressing the use of non-recyclable resources to contribute to the perpetual prosperity of humanity and nature. I formulated this philosophy when we had five employees and I was 37. It led directly to our creating our core replanning business, whose goal is to minimize resources wastage. This business should generate more than \30 billion in sales this fiscal year.
All employees are enthusiastic and love their jobs. Their motivation is helping others. Employees are thrilled to get a "thank you" or a smile in return. And they pass on one-hundredth of that happiness to me.
Our management and corporate philosophies guide 90% of what happens at Sun Frontier Fudousan. They are our bedrock. Instead of producing stop-gap measures for short-term issues we look beneath the surface to create solutions that we act on without hesitation. Foresight and foreknowledge are part of our fabric. I am convinced that acting enthusiastically based on virtuous motives will always produce good results.
